There may have been some restrictions last year with weddings but now, nuptials can go full swing again. And often with weddings come bridal showers, couple showers and bachelorette parties. So of course, gifts are needed!
Most couples are registered for specific gifts at major retailers but sometimes you'd like to make something more personal and special for the occasion.
I've put together 6 DIY bridal gift ideas you can whip up with your Cricut or Silhouette machine, plus you can get all the SVGs for FREE to make these!
A custom 'bride' denim jacket would be the perfect attire for a fun bachelorette night out! Or a 'bride' robe for a spa day or wedding day as she gets ready. You could customize these gifts to match the wedding colors and I know any bride would be over-the-moon to receive this.
Supplies needed: Heat Transfer Vinyl, a Heat Press or Iron, Jacket or Robe, and the FREE cut file you can get at Crafting Overload.
Even if they aren't getting married around Christmas time, an ornament to hang each year that marks their wedding year would bring back floods of memories of their special day. There are so many blank ornament options these days at Craft retailers like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. You could opt for a white ceramic ornament, a wood round ornament painted black for a chalkboard look or a clear round ornament and fill it with glitter of the couple's wedding colors.
Supplies Needed: Permanent Adhesive Vinyl, Transfer Tape, and the Ornament of your Choice, and FREE cut file from Kayla Makes.
It's not just the wedding day that's special, it's the whole year of planning and parties and showers. So make your dear friend a shirt that she can wear all year and feel special in. My very favorite shirts are Bella Canvas 3001 and now you can get those at most Michaels stores.
Supplies Needed: Heat Transfer Vinyl, a Heat Press or Iron, Shirt, and the FREE cut file from Poofy Cheeks.
It's special touches like these that make moments memorable. Yes, cards can be found at every store you walk into, but when someone puts their time and effort in to make something custom just for you, it's special. Coordinate it with the couples wedding colors this will get some extra "ooohs" and "awwws".
Supplies Needed: Card stock in your preferred colors, ribbon, glue/adhesive, and the FREE cut file from The Bearded Housewife.
A 'Just Married' tumbler would be a great addition to the reception festivities and then travel well onto the honeymoon. Or you could opt for wine glasses and use an etching gel to engrave this message. Either way, there are lots of cheers ahead for the bride-to-be so this gift is sure to be used as she celebrates!
Supplies Needed: Permanent Adhesive Vinyl, Transfer Tape, and Wine Tumbler or Wind Glass, and FREE cut file from Lettered By Stephanie (that's me).
I hope the trend of quotes on signs never dies because I cannot have enough of them. I can just picture this one in a master bedroom or on a gallery wall filled with wedding photos, and later family pictures as they add kiddos to the family. Wood signs completely handmade require extra tools like saws, but if you don't have those you can still make one. There are lots of blank sign options in the aisles of Hobby Lobby. There are 2 ways you can make signs, adding the words in vinyl OR cutting a stencil out of the vinyl and using paint. I recommend the latter.
*Fun fact - I started out as a sign maker. Did you know that?
Supplies Needed: Removable Vinyl, Blank Sign, Stain or Paint for the frame, Paint for the background, Paint for the lettering and free svg from The Walnut Street House.
And incase those files and ideas weren't enough, I've gathered up a total of 20 wedding themed free svg cut files here! You can get access to my 'Just Married' svg by signing up for access to my free svg library. For the other cut files, follow the links below.
